PSE(Product Safety of Electrical Appliance & Materials) certification (Japanese referred to as "suitability inspection") is a compulsory market access system for Japanese electrical appliances, which is an important content stipulated in the electrical appliances Safety Law of Japan. The electrical appliances are divided into "specific electrical appliances" and "non specific electrical appliances", among which "specific electrical appliances" includes 116 products and "non specific electrical appliances" includes 341 products Products, technical requirements including EMC and security.
All products in the catalogue of "specific electrical products" must be certified by a third-party certification agency authorized by the Ministry of economy and industry of Japan, obtain the certification certificate, and affix the diamond PSE mark on the nameplate. As shown in the figure below:
As for the products in the "non specific electrical products" catalogue, when entering the Japanese market, self-test and self declaration shall be carried out to confirm that they conform to the technical standards of Japanese electrical products, and a circular PSE mark shall be pasted on the nameplate, as shown in the following figure:
