FCC certification
  • FCC is the abbreviation of the Federal Communications Commission of the United States. FCC standard is a technical standard specially formulated for electronic and electrical products and RF equipment exported to the United States. For most electronic and electrical products, the main application standards are FCC Part 15 and FCC Part 18.

FCC certification also establishes three different certification modes for different products, namely, verification, declaration of conformity (DOC) and certification. Different products and standards have different certification modes.

FCC Part 15 products are mainly divided into four categories: unintentional launching equipment, intentional launching equipment, personal communication equipment without license, basic information equipment of countries without license. For such products, the above three certification modes are applicable.

FCC Part 18 is a provision for electromagnetic energy emitted by industrial, scientific and medical equipment (ISM) working on a certain frequency spectrum, so as to avoid harmful interference of the above equipment on authorized wireless communication services. For consumer ism devices, there are two authentication modes: Declaration of conformity (DOC) and certification.
